Copyright Fees Canada

The Canadian government copyright fees are $50 for online applications and $65 for paper applications.

A copyright lawyer typically charges $1,000 to $3,000 to file your copyright application, although this seems to be excessive and unnecessary, unless you have issues in determining who are the authors and the .

A copyright agent typically charges $300 to file your copyright application.

The government copyright application fee is the same whether you are filing an application for either:

  • An application for Registration of a Copyright in a Work
    or an
  • Application for Registration of a Copyright in a Performer’s Performance, Sound Recording or Communication Signal
